The flight IT-2482, destined to Chennai, was about to depart from Kochi International Airport when the fire broke out.
The preliminary investigation had revealed that a courier bag delivered by Blue Dart contained boric acid and some chemical liquid into 200 ml bottles.
It was alleged the it was a clear security lapse of cargo screeners.
A major mid-air disaster was averted as the cargo was not loaded into the flight when one of the courier baggage burst.
However, passengers and Kingfisher staffs had remained unharmed.
