Amit Shah sent to 14-day judicial custody
Ahmedabad, Jul 25: Former Gujarat Home minister Amit shah had been sent for 14-day judicial custody after he surrendered himself before CBI on Jul 25.
After taking Shah into custody, CBI officers drove him to the residence of Judicial Magistrate A Y Dave in Ahmedabad for remand.
The magistrate sent Shah to judicial custody for 14 days and didn't hand him over to the CBI.
Shah, who is likely to be lodged in Sabarmati Jail for the night, will be asked about his role in the conspiracy to abduct and kill Sohrabuddin and his wife Kausar Bi.
However, the CBI said that it didn"t require Shah's custody now as its investigation was still on and it will take his custody as and when required.
