Case against IAS officer in Patna
Patna, Jul 22: The Bihar Vigilance Bureau has registered an FIR against a senior IAS officer and K Senthil Kumar, director of census operations, Patna, for causing loss of Rs 8.77 crore to the civic body, on Wednesday, Jul 22.
K Senthil Kumar and other 13 officials have also been charged for corruption in purchase of two-way communication sets, street lights, pumps for solid waste managements, spending more on bio-metric cards and awarding work contracts to an infrastructure company in violation of norms.
According to the sources K Senthil Kumar, former commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, has worked with the land and building mafia for personal benefit also.
Sanctions of altogether 130 buildings were given during his tenure by compromising the required safety and basic amenities.
