BNP demands UN probe over Habib Baloch's assassination
Quetta, July 20 (ANI): The Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) has called for a United Nations inquiry over the assassination of its secretary general Habib Jalib Baloch.
Baloch was killed by two unidentified gunmen outside his house in Quetta last week.
Interacting with media persons during a press conference here, BNP-M's acting president Dr. Jehanzeb Jamaldani said his party has no confidence in the local commission investigating Baloch's assassination.
Jamaldani alleged that the establishment was behind the party leader's brutal murder, and added that the people who had plotted Nawab Akbar Bugti's murder and killed other Baloch nationalist leaders were involved this case also.
"Anti-Baloch forces want to eliminate the leadership of Baloch people to weaken their political movement, but they would not succeed in suppressing the struggle of the Baloch," The Dawn quoted Jamaldani, as saying.
He also announced that Waja Jehanzeb Baloch has been nominated as party's new secretary-general. (ANI)
