Indians have to change mindset: Malaysian minister
Kuala Lumpur, Jul 19: Malaysian Human Resource Minister Dr S Subramaniam advised Indian community to change its mindset of having a doctor in every household.
He also advised Indian students to rethink about their field of study.
"Our community has a perception that each Indian family should at least have a doctor in a family. However, we must have the right mind to decide which field offers a higher demand and supply in order to help us grow," said Subramaniam.
In Malaysia out of 1,810 Indian students who applied for PSD scholarship, only 1,011 were called for first interview and only 361 managed to obtain the scholarship.
