The golfer himself has expressed disappointment and annoyance over the way he has performed at St Andrews.
"That has been the story of my week. As soon as I got something going, I would somehow find a way to stop the momentum," he is quoted as saying in The Sun.
"I knew the start I needed and, after pulling back two shots on the first three, I needed to keep it going. But that didn't happen," he added.
After the personal life disaster that followed the Thanksgiving 2009 accident, Tiger Woods has failed to clinch even a single event all season.
However, no matter how big the scandal and no matter how dirty the secrets, Tiger Woods is still holding on to the world No 1 spot.
