New Delhi, Jul 17: In order to end the illegal mining crisis in Karnataka, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa met P Chidambaram, on Saturday, Jul 17.
After meeting Home Minister P Chidambaram, B S Yeddyurappa said to reporters that he will not hesitate to sack the Reddy brothers if there is any proof against them.
"Right now there is no need for a CBI probe into the alleged illegal mining in Karnataka, as the Lokayukta is already looking into it," said B S Yeddyurappa.
B S Yeddyurappa briefed P Chidambaram about the situation in Karnataka.
According to the sources B S Yeddyurappa will be meeting prime minister as well as the top BJP leadership also.
On Friday, Jul 16, Yeddyurappa said, "I had told the Governor, now it is not proper to entrust the matter to CBI probe. If we do it now, it would further delay the enquiry process."
