Severe punishment again in Kolkata school
Kolkata, Jul 17: A case against the six teachers including the principal of St James High School in Kolkata had been filed by the parents of a 8th standard student of the school.
The parents of Siddharth Saha filed a corporal punishment case against the teachers.
According to CNN-IBN, at first police was not ready to lodge the case on Wednesday, Jul 14 but the victim's father finally succeeded on Jul 15.
But the case took a new turn when the school filed a counter-complaint calling Saha's allegation baseless on Friday, Jul 16, as reported by CNN-IBN.
The Saha incident is similar to the Rouvanjit Rawla case.
Rawla was a student of La Martiniere School for Boys.
Rouvanjit had allegedly committed suicide after he was punished by the principal of his school.
