DMK fails to protect state's interest: Jaya
Chennai, Jul 17: Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa said that the DMK government is not able to answer her allegation with regard to rise in the price of essential commodities, yarn, shortage in power generation, unemployment, illegal sand quarrying and many other issues.
On Saturday, Jul 17, AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa said, "law and order in the state is becoming worse in Karunanidhi's rule."
She also alleged that Karunanidhi had failed to take steps to implement the final award of the Cauvery Water Tribunal.
Responding to Karunanidhi's argument that more funds had been allotted to various departments in the state, she said higher allocation of funds would not make Tamil Nadu a developed state.
"Revenue generated by various project can not be called an achievement of the government," later she added.
