Jharkhand: Angry villagers lynch two Maoists
Ranchi, Jul 16: In an incident that indicates the kind of growing anger against Maoists in all spheres, angry villages lynched two red rebels in Jharkhand's Latehar district late on Thursday, Jul 15 night.
Five Maoist rebels went to Jalim village of Latehar district and demanded money from the villagers, the police said on Friday, Jul 16.
They also beat up few people which enraged the villagers further. The villagers starting pelting stones and beating the Maoists up with sticks and iron rods, the police informed.
While two were killed in the incident, three rebels managed to escape.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
