Patna, Jul 12: Followed by the publication of an advertisement controversy, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Arun Jaitley and other BJP leaders at party's state unit chief C P Thakur's residence in Patna on Sunday, Jul 11.

"They met in a friendly atmosphere with a purpose to end all confusion rocked the coalition in the past 2 months," a senior BJP leader said.

Even though Jaitley reported the meeting as a social meeting, sources says both parties guaranteed to continue their alliance at both national and state level and discussed about the coming assembly polls in Bihar.

The central in charge of the state unit Ananth Kumar, his Deputy Dharmendra Pradhan, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and others Bjp leaders were present in the meeting.

Nitish Kumar relations with BJP had turned bad few months back followed by the publication of an advertisement in local dailies depicting Nitish to lift hands of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi when BJP's national executive was being held at Patna.

The advertisement controversy created such a big gap between the JD(U) and the BJP that Kumar even cancelled a dinner which he had hosted in the honour of the visiting BJP leaders including Modi.
