Bangalore, Jul 12: Self-styled godman Nityananda Paramahamsa resumed his religious preaching and delivered a talk on freedom at his Bidadi ashram on Monday, Jul 12 two days after the Karnataka High Court lifted the restriction on his spiritual activities.
He recalled his life in prison and expressed his outrage during the first preaching. "The internet has been jammed in the web history only twice, once because of Michael Jackson's death and second because of Nityananda scandal. Michael Jackson had to jump, dance and finally die to jam the traffic on the net, but me! What did I do to deserve this?," was his question to his disciples.
“Sitting inside the prison, enlightenment, compassion and to be peaceful is no more a pride, its a basic utility without which you can't survive. I tell you how to get enlighten quickly; it will be useful" said Swamy.
More than 100 visitors attended the religious discourse, apart from his ashram members, informed the ashram sources.
He was restrained by the court from conducting spiritual preaching classes except yoga and meditation for a while but it was cancelled following the interlocutory application from him stating that the conditions took away his freedom of speech.
