Nifty ends above 5350 mark; Bharti Aitel up 9.86pc
Mumbai, Jul 9: At 4:00 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17833.54 up 181.81 points and the Nifty was 5352.45 up 55.60 points.
For the first time since June 21, 2010, Nifty closed above 5350 and The Sensex closed at 17833 points.
Nifty closed the day up by 56 points and helped the market to stay strong for the whole day, where as Sensex closed up 182 points.
Telecom, technology, financial, metal, realty and auto companies' shares helped the Sensex to come up to 182 points.
Top gainers in telecom were Bharti Airtel up 9.86 percent, Idea Cellular up 12.86 percent, DLF up 4.63 percent, Reliance communication up 2.98 percent.

Nifty continues to be green
From the beginning, the Nifty kept on trading firm with the gaining of about 50 points.
The shares of telecom, financial, technology, metal, realty, auto and select capital goods companies were standing at good position, while cement, healthcare and FMCG were under pressure.
At 1: 52 pm, the Sensex was trading at 17823, up 171 points and the Nifty was at 5346, up 49 points. The Nifty July future was trading at 8 points premium. About 821 shares advanced while 445 shares declined on NSE.
Idea Cellular, Bharti Airtel, DLF were among the top gainers with Rs 66.05, Rs 305.05, Rs 294 respectively.
Deccan Chronicle, Bajaj Hindusthan and Tata Teleservices were among the midcap gainers with 5-9 percent up while TVS Motor, KGN Industries, United Breweries fell 2.3-4.6 percent.

Nifty hits 5350 on strong Asian trading
Nifty touched 5350 mark on positive cues from Asian markets. Sensex was also trading in green. Shanghai, Kospi, Hang Seng, Nikkei, Straits Times and Taiwan jumped higher on US data
At 12: 20 pm, BSE Sensex was at 17,828.66, up 176.93 points, NSE Nifty was trading at 5349.75, up 52.90 points.
All sectoral indices including telecom, technology, realty, metals and financials were trading higher.
Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Reliance Communications, HDFC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, PNB, Kotak Mahindra Bank and SBI were the top gainers.
In the IT space, Infosys rose 1.6 per cent ahead of its Q1FY11 numbers, scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Jul 13; HCL Tech and Wipro were up 0.6 to 0.9 per cent.

Sensex opens higher on +ve global cues
The benchmark Nifty started trading above the 5300 points following the positive global cues.
At 9:30 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17814.67 up 160.31 points and NSE Nifty was 5340.80 up 43.95 points.
The frontliners including Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Wipro, Sterlite Industries, M&M, Reliance Communications, Jindal Steel & Power, HDFC, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Jaiprakash Associates, L&T and Infosys were witnessing buying interest.
Maruti and HUL were witnessing lose in trade.
Bharti Airtel was the top gainer on the Nifty and was up 5.68 percent.
