7 yrs imprisonment for raping & looting in Nashik
Nashik, Jul 9: A local court in Nashik sentenced 7-years rigorous imprisonment to four people on Thursday, Jul 8.
The four persons were accused of looting passengers and raping a woman in train in 2005.
R S Bhandurge, the additional district and sessions judge handed the sentence and charged all the four accused 10,000 Rs each.
In the Mumbai-bound Pawan Express on Dec 6, 2005, accused Pramod Bhaurao Jadhav had raped a married woman on knife point.
At the same time Pramod's brothers Prakash Bhaurao Jadhav, Vikas Chandrakant Unhavane and Vishal Ramdas Gaikwad looted valuables from other passengers.
After the incident, Pramod was counter attacked by travellers and handed over to Kalyan police while the three other accused were later arrested.
