Microsoft plans job cuts
New York, Jul 8: American software company Microsoft Corp is planning to cut some lines of work.
In 2009 Microsoft announced about 5,000 job cuts. The latest decision on job reduction will be smaller to the previous action.
The move suggests the company is continuing to keep a tight rein on expenses, and its overall headcount, even as the tech industry emerges from the economic recession. The cuts come at the beginning of a new fiscal year, often a time when Microsoft makes adjustments in product teams to align them with new strategies.
