Maoists attack police station in Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Jul 8: Maoist attacks continued in Chhattisgarh as they assaulted a police station and the house of a Congress leader on Thursday, Jul 8.
Armed Naxalites struck at the Kuakonda police station in the district in the very early mornings on Jul 8, drawing retaliation from the police personnel.
After their attack on the police station, they went to the house of Congress leader Avdesh Gautam in nearby Nakulnar village and lashed out on the leaders family.
In the attack, two relatives of the Congress leader were killed and two others injured, including his son and a security personnel.
Five security personnel posted at Gautam's house retaliated, said a police spokesman.
Six Naxalites were killed in the attack, however, their bodies were yet to be recovered, stated police.
