Washington, Jul 8: Amul became the numero uno dairy brand in the Asia-Pacific region beside maintaining its unique position as the no 1 Indian brand for the second consecutive year in 2010.
The brand Amul has also bettered its ranking considerably jumping ten notches from 83rd spot in 2009 to 73rd in 2010.
The survey conducted by the Media Magazine, which was being simultaneously published from Hong Kong and Singapore, ranks Amul as the 73rd best brand amongst the top 1,000 Brands of Asia-Pacific.
"There is no other Indian brand in the list of top 1,000 brands ahead of Amul," said an Amul official.
This 2010 survey is the seventh year survey by Media Magazine.
"Asia Pacific's top 1,000 brand list is based on a proprietary survey conducted by Media Magazine which is sponsored by the Wall Street Journal," said an Amul official.
Amul official stated that the survey reaffirms the faith Indian customers have reposed in Amul and also the fact that a brand created by India is featuring amongst the top brands globally.
