Lahore, July 7(ANI): The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leaders have alleged that after "Punjabi Taliban", "Lahori Taliban" were now bent upon destroying peace in the province.
Addressing a joint conference in Lahore, PPP leaders including Punjab Finance Secretary Aurangzeb Burki, Central Deputy Secretary Information Haider Zaman Qureshi, Punjab Secretary Information, Dr. Fakhruddin and Lahore President Asghar Gujjar accused the Punjab government of patronising terrorist organisations.
They also said that terrorism was on the rise since in the province because of the official patronage of extremists.
Burki said that after the Punjabi Taliban, Lahori Taliban was now active to disrupt peace in the province, The Nation reports.
He said that the federal government was also partially responsible for incidents of terrorism because it had not reprimanded Punjab government on this count. (ANI)
