Hyderabad, Jul 7: Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy has decided to go ahead with his controversial 'Odarpu Yatra' from Srikakulam district on Thursday, Jul 8 despite the warning received from the high command chief, Sonia Gandhi. He made his stand clear that it was his duty to visit the families who suffered after his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy's death.
However, Congress sources said that they are not going to take disciplinary actions against Jagan now.
Media reports said that 40 MLAs in Congress are in favour of him, though several ministers and other leaders who met him recently had told him not to defy the high command.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Wednesday, Jul 7 has asked Congress legislators to boycott the journey, saying participation would be considered as 'indiscipline'.
