Five Afghan soldiers killed in NATO air strike
London, July 7 (ANI): A Nato air strike has mistakenly killed five Afghan soldiers while they were on patrol in the country's eastern Ghazni province.
According to the Daily Express, Afghan Defence Ministry spokesman General Mohammad Zahir Azimi condemned the deaths, saying it was not the first time Afghan troops have died in "friendly fire".
He also confirmed that two other soldiers had been wounded.
Nato spokesman Josef Blotz regretted the deaths. He said a joint investigation has been launched. (ANI)
