Relieve my burden: Pawar to PM
New Delhi, Jul 6: 70-year-old Minister in charge of agriculture, food, civil supplies and consumer affairs Sharad Pawar met PM on Monday, Jul 5, to request a change in his present portfolios, as he cannot cope up with the burden.
"I met the Prime Minister and have requested him to reduce my burden. In fact, i have been telling the Prime Minister from last six months about this," Pawar said.
"I want more time with my party NCP and ICC. I have been in the government from past many years and now i need relief (Mujhe rahat milna chahiye)," later he added.
According to the media source Sharad Pawar is expected to keep his Agriculture portfolio but lose Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs.
