'Oasis' couldn't save Messi's Argentina from WC defeat

By Mamatha

London, July 5 (ANI): The Argentina football team can blame Lionel Messi and rock-band Oasis for their dismal 4-0 loss in the World Cup quarter-final.

Messi tried to psych up his teammates for their big match by playing Oasis before they lost to Germany.essi had the Manchester band's 1994 track 'Rock And Roll Star' blasted out on the team coach stereo on Saturday.

"He was really keen to hype up the team with this rousing anthem. Unfortunately it didn't produce the desired result," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

The South Americans were battered by Germany in South Africa.

Barcelona superstar Messi, 23, was introduced to Oasis's music by team-mate and Man City ace Carlos Tevez. (ANI)
