False alarm call evacuated JFK passengers
New york, Jul 5: John F Kennedy International Airport passengers were evacuated after an alarm of bomb was reported and later it turned out to be a false alarm.
The incident occurred on Sunday, Jul 4, when an unidentified phone caller said there was a bomb which caused panic in the John F Kennedy International Airport, resulted in an evacuation of 300 passengers from a busy terminal of the airport.
According to the US media, an unidentified phone caller said there was a bomb inside the airport and at the same time someone else reported an unattended bag, which sparked the alert and led to the evacuation.
The US police carried operations at the airport for more than one hour before declaring it a false alarm and allowed passengers back into the terminal.
