Noble sets Oz freediving "no limits" record at 105 metres

By Devaki

Brisbane, July 4(ANI): Freediver Ben Noble has become the first Australian to dive deeper than 100 metres without an oxygen tank.

Noble plunged to 105 metres at the Mediterranean Freediving World Cup in Greece last month, setting a new Australian record and adding 25metre to his previous best.

He completed two dives of 100 metres or more at the World Cup -one in the "variable weight" category, while the 105 metre dive was in the "no limits" section, News.com.au reports.

The 34-year-old has been involved in the extreme sport for about six years, although his interest was first sparked when he saw the freediving movie "The Big Blue" as a 12-year-old. (ANI)
