Mumbai, Jul 3: Heavy rains crippled the maximum city yet again on Saturday, Jul 3 as water-logging across the metropolis left the commoners stranded while road and rail traffic have been disrupted.
Rains have disrupted train services on Western and Central lines. Railway officials informed that the trains on Western line were running late by 10 to 15 minutes while those on Central were nearly half an hour late.
Water logging was reported from Hindmata, Kurla, Bandra and Dadar while traffic jams clogged the arterial roads of the country's financial capital.
The air traffic, however, was normal. Flight operations were as per the schedule and there were no diversions and cancellations.
Heavy rains will lash few parts of the city and suburbs over the next 24 hours, said weather predictions.
With the rains leaving Mumbai paralyzed, questions over BMC"s proclamation that the city was prepared for monsoon has risen again.
