Cape Town, Jul 3: Argentina coach Diego Maradona has admitted that it will not be a cake walk for his boys in the quarterfinals against Germany.
The coach said on Friday, Jul 3 that he will be asking his team to play for their lives so as to not disappoint the fans rooting for them.
"I will tell them (my players) they have to leave their lives on the pitch. Behind them is a whole country that hasn't enjoyed a (World Cup) victory for a long time," he said.
"The Argentinian people depend on this team to be able to get up in the morning with a smile on their faces," Maradona added.
The country has not tasted victory since 1986 when the team had overpowered West Germany 3-2. After this, the Germans achieved revenge twice in 1990 and 2006.
