FIFA WC: Lahm says England aren't one of the big boys

By Samyuktha

Johannesburg, July 1 (ANI): German football skipper Phillip Lahm has said that England was cut down to size by his team, and therefore, cannot be considered one of the big guns of this year's FIFA World Cup tournament.

Lahm followed up the brutal dismantling of Fabio Capello's side in Bloemfontein last Sunday with a blunt assessment of where England stand in the world order as he looked ahead to tomorrow's showdown with Argentina. ull-back Lahm believes the test will be far more demanding than the one in the Free State Stadium which saw England demolished 4-1. "We have to show we can finally beat a big team - someone like Argentina, Brazil or Spain," the Daily Express quoted Lahm, as saying.

"Definitely, these are bigger opponents than England," he added.(ANI)
