Pak troop kills 20 Taliban militants
Peshawar, Jul 1: 20 Taliban militants were killed in Pakistan fighter jets attack in Orakzai tribal region in northwest Pakistan.
Fighter jets conducted strikes on Taliban positions in the areas of restive Orakzai on Wednesday, Jun 30. Pakistani troops destroyed six hideouts and fifteen militants were injured.
The jets pounded militant positions at Mamozai, Khadezai, Maulan Patti and Sawarkot areas of Orakzai Agency, which borders Afghanistan.
In a separate development, police arrested nine militants, including militant commander Azam Khan alias Qasai, from Doaba area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and took them to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Security forces arrested another Taliban commander Ibrahim from a house in Jalala area of Mardan district in Pakistan.
