England footballers on holidaying spree after shameful WC exit

By Super Admin

London, Jul 1 (ANI): England mega rich footballers went on holidays after their shameful exit from the World Cup, leaving a seething nation behind.

Ace playmaker Frank Lampard was all smiles as he whisked his girlfriend Christine Bleakley to Sardinia. The Chelsea midfielder laughed and joked as cousin Jamie Redknapp and the former player's ex-pop star wife Louise joined them.

Goalkeeper Rob Green was preparing for a bit of rest and relaxation in Los Angeles.

And Alex Curran, the other half of catastrophic Steven Gerrard, had her hair done ahead of her summer getaway with the Liverpool player.

The Three Lions fans across the country were more saddened by yesterday's photo of the multi-millionaire players relaxing with beers and a cigar after their humiliating World Cup exit, The Sun reports.

Rooney, wife Coleen and eight-month-old son Kai flew out of Manchester airport on first-class British Airways tickets.

Their destination was the Man U striker's newly built five million pound villa on Barbados. Rooney booked the break two days before England crashed out 4-1 to Germany.

Meanwhile, England fans flooded the paper's our website to vent their feelings about the cigar, the beers and the holidays.

A reader dubbed Sinkaspud ranted: "That's it boys, you live it up. At least you got something out of the World Cup, a nice pay day!"

Sacto blasted: "Imagine if these role models said they were making donations to underprivileged kids in South Africa. What a difference that would make to their image. Instead they're off on holiday with their WAGs indulging themselves as a reward for their pitiful performance." (ANI)
