Earthquake strikes Fiji
Suva (Fiji), Jun 30: United States Geological Survey reported that an earthquake struck south of Fiji.
The earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 was centred 360 kilometres southwest of Fiji's southern island of Ndoi and 565 kilometres south of the capital Suva. Even though no tsunami warning was issued.
The island nation Fiji lies in the 'Pacific ring of fire', a highly active earthquake and volcanic zone that regularly experiences quakes.
