Cambodian Prime Minister infected by swine flu
Phnom Penh, Jun 30: Hun Sen, Cambodian Prime Minister and five other government executives got infected with the swine flu or H1N1 virus, informed the ministry of health.
Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health said that Prime Minister has received treatment and is recuperating. He added that the six officials were likely exposed to the virus at the weekly cabinet meeting, on Jun 25, Friday.
The other government officials who contracted the swine flu include Deputy Prime Minister Yim Chhay Ly and two senior ministers.
Due to the illness, Prime Minister could not attend the 59th anniversary celebration of the founding of the ruling Cambodian People's Party which took place on Jun 28 Monday in the capital.
In cambodia, the diseased has infected around 600 people and claimed the lives of six, since Jun 2009.
