After Gautham, Viveka's fmr boyfriend to seek bail

Mumbai, Jun 30: After the alleged boyfriend of the dead former Miss Mauritius, Gautham Vohra, managed to get anticipatory bail, Viveka Babajee's former boyfriend Karthik Jobanputtra may also follow the suit.

Fearing that even his name would be dragged into the suicide case of Viveka, Kathik is likely to move the sessions court for an anticipatory bail.

Kathik was in a relationship with the Indian supermodel for a brief period from 2008 to mid-2009.

Karthik is worried that, like Gautham, he may also face the charges of abetment to suicide.

"Karthik has not had any contact with Viveka since last seven to eight months. Just because he was in a relationship with her in the past, police cannot question him," Karthik's lawyer Laxman Kanal said.

"There were so many persons who knew Viveka personally. Will the police question all of them. There is no direct or indirect link of Viveka and Karthik in the recent past," he added.

Viveka did herself in on Friday, Jun 25 in her Bandra residence. Since the police found a entry in Viveka's diary that a certain Gautham Vohra had done this to her, the angle of abetment to suicide opened up and Gautham was summoned for interrogation.

The stock broker immediately moved a court seeking anticipatory bail and on Tuesday, Jun 2, the Mumbai sessions court that granted bail to him directed the suburban Khar police to not arrest Gataum without giving 72-hour prior notice.
