Furious fans claim hard earned money wasted with England's WC exit

By Super Admin

London, Jun 28 (ANI): Germany exposed England's stumbling defence during their 4-1 victory over the Three Lions in the World Cup, even though a poor decision by a Uruguayan linesman cost Frank Lampard a clear goal that would have levelled the scores at 2-2.

But angry supporters insisted that was no excuse for the way Fabio Capello's Three Lions were made to look like cats.

Fuming fans yelled "5,000 pounds" at Wayne Rooney as he was escorted from the Bloemfontein stadium, a reference to the hard-earned cash they wasted on the trip to South Africa.

Leeds geography student Marcus Martin, 21, said: "I'll be paying this off for years. I feel like I've been mugged. What a load of rubbish."

Pal Charlie Menage said: "We've lived on nothing for a year to watch that garbage. It was pathetic."

"Never again will I waste money on England. I wish I'd burnt it - I'd have got more enjoyment, The Sun quoted Matthew Spence, 20, as saying.

Plumber James Grainger, 29, of Walsall, West Midlands, said: What a waste of time and money. I've been saving for a year. It cost me 5,000 pounds, which is probably what those players spend on a pair of jeans. They can go home to their mansions and trophy girlfriends and forget about it. But I'm totally gutted. It's not good enough."

Asked if he was quitting, Capello replied: "No, absolutely not. I need time to think about everything." (ANI)
