Moore's widow's rallying call to Three Lions: Do it for Bobby

By Super Admin

London, June 29 (ANI): Football legend Sir Bobby Moore's widow, Stephanie, wants the England team to win against arch rivals Germany, and urged the players to do it for the 1966 World Cup hero.

She gave the rallying call to the Three Lions as England captain Steven Gerrard warned Germany that ace striker Wayne Rooney is ready to score in the World Cup.

The skipper said: "Wayne's looking really sharp in training. It's only a matter of time before he scores in this tournament and hopefully that is tomorrow."tephanie said: "I'm so excited about the World Cup and today's game against Germany is massive."

"Bobby's greatest passion was football and the big games were those he relished most. If he were still alive he would definitely be in South Africa supporting England, cheering them on to World Cup victory," she said.

"He would be so proud to see the trophy come home again...a new dawn for English football," News of the World quoted her, as saying.

Around 25 million Britons are expected to watch the crunch clash on TV in Bloemfontein. (ANI)
