Robin Van Persie scored his first goal of the tournament and Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben played his first World Cup minutes as a second half substitute. The first goal of the match was scored by Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie in 36th minute of the match by sliding the ball through Cameroon goalkeeper Souleymanou's legs.
The Cameroon captain Samuel Eto"o scored the penalty which Van der Vaart had used an arm in the penalty area to Geremi"s free-kick, in 65th minute of the match to level the score. But Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored the winning goal for the Dutch in the 83th minute which helped them to enter the prequarters as the Group F champions.
Goalscorer and the 'Man of the Match' Van Persie became only the fourth Dutchman to score in more than one World Cup. The Dutch once again proved they are one of the team in full form in this World Cup with a third win in a row, joining Argentina as the only teams with a 100 percent record so far.
