China to declare Pak nuclear deal on Jun 24
Beijing, Jun 24: A Chinese official said that china will make public, its plans to sell two Pressurised Water Reactors (PWR) for the Chashma 3 and 4 power stations in Pakistan, at the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) meet in New Zealand on Thursday, Jun 24.
The statement came from the official proves that China's approach to the issue of regional security remains as such even after the visits by Indian President Pratibha Patil and foreign minister SM Krishna to Beijing.
Srikant Kondappalli, professor of Chinese affairs at the Jawaharlal Nehru University said that by this move China reveals the message that it will support Pakistan, even if it would be the violation of the guidelines China had committed when it joined the NSG in May 2004. He said that the move in Sino-pak nuclear deal wipes out the progress made by the visits of Pratibha Patil and SM Krishna to Beijing.
India and United States had revealed their concerns in China helping Pakistan to build up the nuclear plants earlier.
