London, June 23 (ANI): Irish batter Eoin Morgan produced scored an incredible 103 of 85 balls to help England register a victory against Australia in the 3,000th one-day international last night.
Morgan's knock was a dazzling mixture of the brilliant, unorthodox and downright outrageous batsmanship.
The Irishman rescued his adopted country from 97-4 as they pursued 268 for victory. It was a master class of how to construct a run chase.
Morgan and Luke Wright shared a fifth-wicket partnership of 95 in 14.5 overs that turned the match on its head.
Then Tim Bresnan helped Morgan take England home with a partnership of 71 for the sixth wicket at better than a run-a-ball. (ANI)
