Taliban finance chief captured
Kabul, Jun 22: NATO and Afghan forces arrested the Taliban finance chief in an overnight raid, informed the international force.
The senior member of Taliban who has been caught, had recently been appointend as Taliban's finance chief in norther Baghlan province, informed NATO. He was captured in southern Helmand province along with two other suspected activists after receiving a hint that he was staying in a compound in Nah-e Saraj district.
The death toll due to the insurgents' attack in Afghanistan has increased to atleast 65 during this month. NATO informed that one of its service members died on Monday, Jun 21 following such an attack.
Among the 65 deceased, ten people died on Monday, Jun 21. This include three Australians and an American who got killed in a helicopter crash in Kandahar province.
