Kishenji had claimed that his outfit was not involved in Jhargram train derailment which claimed 148 lives. His statement came on Tuesday, Jun 22.
“We were not involved in the derailment of the Jnaneswari Express. We have no relation with the people who have done it," he told a news agency.
Kishenji was asked about the accusation of police against Maoists in the case. “We have said earlier that we were not involved in the accident. The police can cook up their own stories," he said.
“We are fighting for the people and we will not do anything at their cost," added Kishenji who has remained withdrawn for a month.
