Delhi honour killing: Another body found in car

New Delhi, Jun 22: The murder of an inter-caste couple that made news as another case of honour killing just got more complicated with the police discovering another dead body believed to be that of a relative of the couple.

Police found the body in a car in H-Block in Ashok Vihar Phase-I in northwest Delhi on Tuesday, Jun 22 morning. The car belonged to a relative of Kuldeep, who along with his wife Monica was found murdered on Sunday, Jun 20.

The area where the car was found has been cordoned off as the police personnel are still trying to remove the dead body from the car, which has been locked from inside.

The police were tipped off about the car by a resident of the locality, identified as Mudit Bhatia, who saw blood trickling out of the car.

On initial investigations, the police found that the car belonged to someone called Rahul, who is the cousin of Kuldeep. Rahul was the one who helped the inter-caste couple marry.

Rahul had invited the wrath of Monica's brothers for helping the couple. Four years ago when he helped the Kuldeep and Monica marry, he was beaten up by the girl's brothers.

The car in which the body has been found was missing since the alleged murder of Kuldeep and Monica. The police is yet to identify the body.

Monica's kin Ankit and Mandeep, who are the main suspects in the case, are still absconding.
