Tanvir targeting England ODIs for international comeback

By Super Admin

Lahore, June 21 (ANI): Injured Pakistan fast bowler Sohail Tanvir, who is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here following his knee operation, is hoping to get fit in time for the forthcoming one-day international series against England.

Tanvir, who is yet to start bowling in the nets, said he has started light exercises and would soon commence bowling.

"I'm targeting the start of the ODI series against England for my return, I'm hoping to be fully fit and available by then," Tanvir told Cricistan.com.

While the left arm bowler is eager for a comeback, he is aware that rushing back to the international stage before fully recovering could prove more harmful.

"But knees are very delicate and once they've been operated on you have to be very careful not to overwork them. So with that in mind it may take a little bit longer, if I dont feel confident about my fitness then I'll take more time and wait till I'm fully recovered before declaring myself fit," he said.
