BJP is spineless, Nitish a fraudster: Paswan
New Delhi, Jun 21: The willingness of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) to continue alliance despite the ugly and ongoing spat between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his Gujarat counterpart Narendra Modi has inspired Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) boss Ramvilas Paswan to dub Nitish Kumar a fraudster while labelling BJP as 'spineless'.
"BJP
is
spineless
and
hence
saying
it
wants
to
continue
the
alliance
despite
so
much
humiliation
from
its
alliance
partner.
On
the
other
hand,
Nitish
Kumar
is
playing
fraud
with
people
and
trying
to
cheat
minorities
by
pretending
that
he
does
not
like
Gujarat
Chief
Minister
Narendra
Modi,"
Mr
Paswan
said,
adding
that
the
people
of
Bihar
are
aware
of
the
Chief
Minister's
'gimmicks' and
that
they
will
give
a
'befitting
reply'
to
the
BJP-led
National
Democratic
Alliance
(NDA)
in
the
upcoming
state
assembly
polls.
Mr Paswan was responding to the indications sent out by the leaders of both BJP and JD(U) that they were interested in keeping the alliance intact.
“We are prepared to fight the elections alone if we are forced to do so. But, we would like the alliance to continue," Bihar unit chief of BJP C P Thakur had said.
JD(U) president Sharad Yadav said, “Our alliance with NDA is old and our intention is that it should continue. The incidents of June 12 were unfortunate but are now behind us. What has passed has passed."
