England on a lookout for three points

By Anmolg

Cape Town: England will take on Algeria in their Group C match at Cape Town. England after their unsatisfactory outing against the U.S, will be looking for three points to stay in contention in the World Cup.

England team will be bolstered after Gareth Barry's return. It has been announced that he will be available for their match against the Algerians. Barry was sidelined for six-weeks due to injury problem, but now the midfielder is set to reclaim his place in the side. Barry"s return will also allow skipper Steven Gerrard to switch back to his preferred position on the left.

On the other side Slovenia too had a disapointing outing in their opening encounter against Slovenia losing 1-0. And worst, the team will miss the services of their key striker Abdelkader Ghezzal, he was sent off during their match against Slovenia. But they do have two players who play in the premier league. Nadir Belhadj and

Hassan Yebda who play for Portsmouth know about the English style of play, their strengths and weaknesses. The duo would be hoping to deliver their experience and upset the English side.

England nor Algeria can let any slip-ups as they would be playing for three crucial points.

Players to watch out for:

England: Steven Gerard, Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard

Algeria: Nadir Belhadj, Hassan Yebda
