Nifty ends in green; oil & gas, realty gains
Mumbai, Jun 17: At 4:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,616.69 up 153.82 and NSE Nifty was 5274.85 up 41.50 points. BSE Midcap Index was up by 0.4 percent and Smallcap was up by 0.6 percent.
Nifty could end above 5200 points for the seventh cosecutive day. European markets including CAC, DAX and FTSE were trading higher where as Asian markets ended mixed, at the time of closing of Indian equities.
Oil & gas, private financial, realty, auto (barring Hero Honda) select power, auto and telecom companies' shares traded on positive notes. The losers in the market were SBI, NTPC, HUL, Hero Honda, BHEL, Tata Steel, PNB, Cairn, Sun Pharma and Idea Cellular.
Lakshmi Machine among the midcap space gained 11.5 percent. Indraprastha Gas gained 7.56 percent after the CNG price hike in Delhi.

Nifty surges up; L&T, RComm on top
At 2:20 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,573.64 up 110.77 points and NSE Nifty was 5264.75 up 31.40 points.
The shares of Oil & gas, cement and select auto and power companies went up. The other shares surged were that of L&T, Reliance Comm, Jindal Steel, DLF, HDFC Bank, ITC and HDFC.
Technology, metal and select banking companies witnessed selling pressure. The other losers in the trade were NTPC, BHEL, HUL, Hero Honda, Bharti, Idea and Unitech.
Reliance Communications gained over 2 percent. L&T was 2.61 percent up, ONGC was 1.67 percent up, Jaiprakash Associates surged by 1.54 percent and DLF, by 1.46 percent.
Top losers in the trade - HUL was down 2.66 percent; Hero Honda was down 2.23 percent; Tata Steel was down 1.74 percent; HCL Tech was down 1.69 percent; Axis Bank was down 1.36 percent; SBI was down 1.19 percent and Wipro was down 1.17 percent.

Nifty surges; RIL, L&T, ONGC gains
At 12:20 hours, BSE Sensex was 17,503.41 up 40.54 points and NSE Nifty was 5238.00 up 4.65 points. The shares on Technology and metal companies witnessed selling pressure.
The losers in the market were BI, NTPC, HUL, Axis Bank, BHEL, Hero Honda, Bhart, Cairn, Unitech, Cipla and Suzlon Energy
Oil and gas, private financial, cement, select auto, power and pharma companies' shares witnessed buying and hence supported the markets. L&T and Reliance Communications also went up.
Around 1682 shares advanced, 1397 shares declined and nearly 233 shares were unchanged on BSE.
The active shares in the market were that of Aban Offshore, Reliance Industries, TTK Prestige, RNRL, Reliance Capital, ICICI Bank, Religare Enterprise and Reliance Communications.

Nifty opens in red; M&M, Rel Comm on top
At 9:10 hrs, BSE Sensex was 17,466.62 up 3.75 points and NSE Nifty was 5232.50 down 0.85 points.
NIfty started the day on a negative note, but with a positive slant. CNX Midcap Index rose 10 points up and BSE Smallcap Index was up by 28 points. Markets have been in a consolidation mode for the third consecutive day.
Around 417 shares advanced and 266 declined on NSE.
M&M and Rel Communications were the top gainers in the market. Sterlite Industries, Cipla, Ranbaxy Labs, Wipro, ITC, Cairn India and Jindal Steel & Power, BPCL, HPCL were the ohter gainers among the frontliners. Reliance Industries was also up by half a percent.
