Knysna, Jun 14: Denmark's attack may suffer a huge impairment in the Group E opener match against Netherlands as the best Danish striker, Nicklas Bendtner, may not be playing the match scheduled for Monday, Jun 11.
Denmark coach Morten Olsen on Friday, Jun 11, said that practically speaking he could not play against Netherlands in the opener. He, however, hoped that the Arsenal striker would be ready in time for the match.
Speaking to Danish broadcaster TV 2 Sports during the training session in Knysna, South Africa, the coach said, “To be realistic he can"t play against the Netherlands, but we hope he can be fit for the coming matches."
Bendtner is suffering from a groin injury. But there is a very good possibility that the striker would turn up for the match, said a Danish website sporten.dk.

The Danes have a thin attack line and without Bendtner, the team will have a tough job with their offensive.
Netherland, on the other hand, has Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder, who will be launching the attack against Denmark, which will be depending on Daniel Agger for the defence.
In a mood-dampener ahead of the match, the Danish coach on Sunday, Jun 14 said that his team would be satisfied with a draw.
