London, June 14 (ANI): England goalkeeper Robert Green may be getting the support of his fellow players after failing to prevent the United States from pushing through an equaliser in their June 12 FIFA World Cup match, but the team's fans are not quite as forgiving.
According to the Daily Star, Three Lions supporters have seen the funny side of the West Ham stopper's shocker against the Yanks.
They have been flooding the Daily Star office with emails and calls.
Here are the best of them.
You have got to laugh, Rob...
I don't think you can lay all the blame on Rob Green for that goal. To be fair, the ball had just left an American's foot - it was probably covered in oil.
If only John Terry had slept with Robert Green's bird...
Cheer up Rob Green. There are 300 million people in America that didn't see you drop that ball.
My computer has just been infected with the "Rob Green Virus". I can't save anything...
The name's Green, Rob Green. Licence to spill.
Well, that's one spill by the British the Americans aren't complaining about.
Why is Robert Green like ITV HD? They both switch off at the crucial moment.
Kermit was right: It's not easy being Green. (ANI)
