Woman techie found dead days before marriage
New Delhi, Jun 12: Just days ahead of her marriage, a 22-year-old techie was found dead in her south Delhi home on Thursday, Jun 10.
The woman has been identified as Monica Jaiswal, hailing from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. She was was found dead in her rented flat in Madangir area around: 720 am on Jun 10 with several injury marks on her body.
In Delhi, Monica was working with a renowned software company. She had been staying in Madangir for the past one-and-a-half years.
Monica's parents found her body after they came down to the capital from UP to check on her as she had not answered their calls.
"They found her house locked and broke open the door. Monica was found lying dead on the bed and her body bore several injury marks. We have sent her body for autopsy," said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (south) SK Jain.
The police is awaiting the post mortem report to ascertain the cause of death.
The woman's fiance Ravi Mishra and friends are being interrogated. The Ravi and Monica were supposed to tie the knot on Jun 14.
