We are capable of beating anyone: Van Persie

Holland and Arsenal sensation Robin Van Persie believes that Holland are capable of beating any team in the Fifa World Cup in South Africa.

He said that teamwork is an important factor for any team to enjoy success in the World Cup.

"It's really difficult to say because there are so many good teams. If we can work together - people like Sneidjer, Robben, Van der Vaart, myself, Van Bommel - then we have a big chance to beat anyone, van Persie told The Mirror.

"When we have the ball everyone knows how to play. But we must pressure the opposition when we lose possession, do it properly.

Van Persie is very optimistic about Holland's chances this time around as Holland has a strong chance of meeting reigning World Champion Italy and Euro Champions Spain after the group stage.

"I'm very curious what will happen because we have a tough, tough draw after the group stage. There is a 50 per cent chance of facing Italy if we go through, then there is a big chance of meeting Spain in the quarter-finals.

"The semi-finals could be Brazil or Portugal and then in the final it could be anyone from the other half of the draw," the Dutch hitman concluded.

Holland will kick off their World Cup campaign against Denmark on 14 June.
