Ranchi, June 11 (ANI): Union Home Minister P Chidambaram held consultations with senior officials and newly appointed advisors to the Jharkhand Governor at Ranchi on Friday and discussed measures to tackle the Maoists activities in the State.

The Jharkhand Home Department and State Police have reportedly prepared a report on the Maoists activities in the state, to be presented to Chidambaram.

Meanwhile, Railway Protection Force (RPF) Inspector General (IG) A. K. Singh said the State Government is responsible for the safety of the track and the railway will not run trains in night in the 1300 KM long track under Naxal affected areas of Jharkhand and West Bengal until June 14.

Sigh also said the Railways might stop operation in the route even longer if the state governments fail to provide adequate safety of the track. (ANI)
