Inflation rises as milk, pulses, fruits get dearer
New Delhi, Jun 10: Soaring prices of prices of pulses, milk and fruits, took the Indian inflation marginally up by 0.19 per cent for the week ended May 29.
Official data released on Thursday, Jun 10 showed that the inflation rate for the week under study went up to 16.74 per cent from from 16.55 per cent in the previous week.
According to the data, pulses got costlier by 31 per cent, milk by 21.1 per cent and fruits by 18.7 per cent.
The overall inflation for the month ended Apr 2010 came at 9.59 per cent.
